Understanding Stats

Every Digimon has seven core stats that determine their effectiveness in battle. Understanding how each stat works is crucial for building a balanced and powerful team.

Stats are influenced by base values, level, personality, equipment, and various buffs and debuffs during combat.

HP

Health Points

Determines how much damage a Digimon can take before fainting

Mechanics:

  • β€’HP is depleted when taking damage from enemy attacks
  • β€’When HP reaches 0, the Digimon faints and cannot act
  • β€’Can be restored using healing items or recovery skills
  • β€’Max HP increases with level and personality bonuses

Formula:

Max HP = Base HP + (Level Γ— Growth Rate) + Personality Bonus

SP

Skill Points

Required to use skills and special abilities

Mechanics:

  • β€’Each skill consumes a specific amount of SP
  • β€’SP regenerates slowly during battle
  • β€’Can be restored using items or recovery skills
  • β€’Higher SP allows for more frequent skill usage

Formula:

Max SP = Base SP + (Level Γ— Growth Rate) + Personality Bonus

ATK

Physical Attack

Affects how much physical damage is dealt to enemies

Mechanics:

  • β€’Directly influences physical skill damage
  • β€’Higher ATK means more damage against enemies
  • β€’Can be boosted with buff skills and equipment
  • β€’Essential stat for physical attackers

Formula:

Physical Damage = (ATK Γ— Skill Power) - Enemy DEF

DEF

Physical Defense

Affects how much damage from enemy physical attacks is reduced

Mechanics:

  • β€’Reduces incoming physical damage
  • β€’Higher DEF means better survivability against physical attacks
  • β€’Can be increased with defensive equipment and buffs
  • β€’Critical for tank and defensive roles

Formula:

Damage Taken = Max(Enemy Physical Damage - DEF, 1)

INT

Intelligence

Affects how much magic damage is dealt to enemies

Mechanics:

  • β€’Determines magical and special skill damage
  • β€’Higher INT means stronger magical attacks
  • β€’Important for mage-type Digimon
  • β€’Can be enhanced with intelligence-boosting equipment

Formula:

Magic Damage = (INT Γ— Skill Power) - Enemy SPI

SPI

Spirit

Affects how much damage from enemy magic attacks is reduced and how much HP recovery skills heal

Mechanics:

  • β€’Reduces incoming magical damage
  • β€’Increases healing effectiveness
  • β€’Essential for support and healer roles
  • β€’Dual purpose makes it valuable for various builds

Formula:

Healing Amount = Base Heal Γ— (1 + SPI/100)

SPD

Speed

Affects turn order in battle

Mechanics:

  • β€’Determines who acts first in combat
  • β€’Higher SPD means acting before enemies
  • β€’Can be the difference between victory and defeat
  • β€’Important for all team compositions

Formula:

Turn Order = SPD + Random Factor (Β±5%)

βš”οΈ Damage Calculation

Physical Damage:

Damage = (ATK Γ— Skill Multiplier Γ— Element Bonus) - Enemy DEF

Magic Damage:

Damage = (INT Γ— Skill Multiplier Γ— Element Bonus) - Enemy SPI

Critical Hit:

Critical Damage = Normal Damage Γ— 1.5

Elemental Bonus:

  • β€’ Super Effective: 150% damage
  • β€’ Neutral: 100% damage
  • β€’ Not Very Effective: 75% damage
  • β€’ No Effect: 50% damage

πŸ’‘ Team Building Tips

  • β€’Balanced Teams: Include a mix of physical attackers (ATK), magic users (INT), tanks (DEF/HP), and support (SPI)
  • β€’Speed Matters: High SPD Digimon can disrupt enemies before they act
  • β€’Don't Neglect HP: Even high-damage Digimon need survivability
  • β€’Personality Synergy: Match personalities to desired stat focus
  • β€’Equipment Boosts: Use attachments and items to cover stat weaknesses
